Honor further expanded its mid tier phone line in China with the introduction of the Honor X70 Pro Max. It states officially on its Honor site that it has aimed to lower the barrier of entry for premium environmental protection and high performance display specs by pricing this model extremely aggressively. A prominent selling feature in the mid range sphere is the smartphone's extremely capacious battery, and it is built for resisting high pressure water jets.
The front of the device is graced with an array of a 6.79 inch AMOLED display panel that boasts a resolution of 2640 x 1200 pixels, accompanied by a high frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming rate in an effort to protect eye health, and a peak brightness of 6000 nits when consuming HDR material.
Driving the whole system is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced Edition chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM, and either 256 or 512GB of internal storage depending on the user's selection. The smartphone will run the MagicOS 10.0 user interface, which will be laid over top the Android 16 operating system.
Battery performance on this phone will be very important, with the system holding an astounding 8560mAh battery that can be quickly charged by 90W charging. In the realm of cameras, the phone holds a 50 megapixel main shooter with f/1.8 on the back and an 8 megapixel selfie camera up front. It holds several water and dust resistant ratings including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
The phone holds stereo speakers and will also include the expected NFC, an infrared emitter, and an in display fingerprint reader. The dual SIM phone has 2 physical SIM slots with dual 5G standby. Honor is selling the device for $300 if users pick up the 8GB RAM/256GB storage model, while the same with 512GB storage will go for $355.
