HP and Ferrari Launch Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC with Intel Core Ultra Processors and Supercar Inspired Thermal Engineering
HP and Ferrari are kicking off a new hardware partnership, revealing the HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC. After nearly 2 years in development, it is a portable computer that was born from the collaboration of Ferrari design studio and HP engineers. HP states, according to press materials being released prior to the Monaco Grand Prix, they are only producing 4999 individually numbered units around the world. It seems to be based on an automotive manufacturer practice of making 1 unit less than what the market demands in order to ensure collectibleship.
The laptop features an exterior design and a custom Rosso Magma paint that has been formulated to create a 3D depth to it visually. Other exotic automotive inspired elements on the machine include a custom cooling louvre on the back of the chassis, a copper heat pipe, and an internal layout visible through a glass bottom cover, that mimic the thermal management systems and visible components found in Ferraris. HP own designers developed a backlit keyboard with a configurable performance dashboard layout to give users visibility in low light scenarios.
The device is also equipped with a smart thermal cooling system that was developed to accommodate local artificial intelligence programs. This thermal system was designed to keep temperatures manageable while minimizing the sound of the fan and allowing users to maintain quiet operation even during extensive periods of CPU intensive use or while video conferencing. It also prevents the laptop from experiencing thermal throttling even during prolonged, heavy use.
HP is including their new Intel Core Ultra processors, and is using the embedded Neural Processing Unit within the processor to expedite locally run AI software and programs. It is designed to free up the CPU from performing many tasks so that users will experience improved speed while running various productive applications. Physically the laptop is built to support several positions, including a flexible tent mode, which can adjust to different professional workstation environments.
Every single notebook is sequentially numbered to certify its collectible status. HP is expected to reveal additional specifications such as memory, storage capabilities, and individual regional pricing closer to its retail release date.
HP and @Ferrari are bringing performance, precision and design heritage together in a new way.
