The camera body is made of a heavy duty magnesium and aluminum alloy specifically engineered to meet the demands of a professional environment. Rated at an IP 54 degree for particles and water, the system housed inside the camera body is protected from the elements. At the center of the imaging system is a 44 mp Back illuminated BSI sensor with a hybrid autofocus. The new focus system employs contrast and phase detection at 819 points to achieve quick lock on moving objects.

The processing engine enables to keep shooting in bursts at 40 fps with subject tracking activated. The sensor provides 14 stops of dynamic range to record all the details in the high contrast frames. And if you are a landscape or studio shooter wanting maximum detail, the built in Multishot mode takes multiple sequential shots and stitches them together into a huge 176 megapixel image.

Video recordings are extremely versatile with the ability of high resolution recording up to 8.1K at 24 frames per second (fps). Filmmakers can capture using 8K resolution at 30 fps or 5.9 K at 60 fps. Slow motion techniques can be created using 120 fps at 4K resolutions or 1080p. Physical controls are aided by a tilting 3.2 inch LCD touch screen that can be used to frame shots from higher or lower vantage points.

In response to increasing issues surrounding copyright and manipulation of images, the camera includes content credentials technology built into the operating system of the camera. Content Credentials adhere to the standard set out by the content authenticity initiative, adding tamper proof encrypted information about the file's provenance and editing history. The camera body is built to a premium quality and costs $6690 in the US.
