Lenovo Lecoo Bellator GK101 budget mechanical keyboard with quiet gasket mount design and wireless connectivity features
Lenovo has also thrown in a new, budget friendly, full size mechanical keyboard with a less noise approach under their Lecoo brand. The product details, posted by Lenovo, show that the new Lecoo Bellator GK101 is meant for users who appreciate the feel of a mechanical keyboard without the notorious typing at a demolition site type of noise and is available in China for only 299 yun about $45.
The keyboard has mechanical switches with an actuation force of 50 grams and an overall travel distance of 4mm. It uses a Gasket Mount and acoustic Dampening layers to reduce the noise made by the switches. The Gasket Mount isolates the keyboard plate within the chassis, thus it absorbs more of the force and shock when a keystroke is executed, meaning it can be used in shared office spaces.
Lenovo Lecoo Bellator GK101 features also include Hot swappable switches that can be removed without soldering if you want to change their feel later on. The keycaps are produced using the double shot PBT plastic injection molding process, which prevents the letters from getting wiped off during usage. Also worth noting are the 1000 Hz polling rate and Full N Key rollover that ensure accurate input even during high speed typing sessions.
The Lecoo Bellator GK101 comes with three different ways of connectivity including wired connection via USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. There is also an integrated slot for storing the USB receiver, if not in use with a 2.4GHz connection. The battery will allow the keyboard to work wirelessly for up to 20 days of regular usage or about 14 days of continuous use with backlighting turned on.
