MSI Launches MAG 274CQPDF X32 Gaming Monitor Featuring 27 Inch Curved Rapid VA Panel With Dual Resolution and 400Hz High Frame Rate Modes
MSI has added to their hardware range with the launch of the MAG 274CQPDF X32 gaming monitor. As described in the official MSI product press release this 27 inch screen features a curved Rapid VA panel and is said to have been optimized for competitive electronic sports. The main innovative feature of this display is having two modes, with the choice being between resolution and high frame rate.
In its default state the monitor outputs an Q HD resolution with a very high refresh rate of 320Hz. A speed game mode can be enabled by gamers in which the resolution switches down to and the panel refresh rate jumps to 400Hz. The monitor's screen has an 1500R curvature radius to match the human eye's field of view and improve immersion. The panel can reach a maximum brightness of 450 nits when HDR is enabled and has a gray to gray response time of 0.5ms to prevent ghosting.
The meaning of color is displayed within Wide DCI P3 color spectrum. To facilitate the deep black levels the panel has 8 bit depth. The static contrast ratio is rated at 5000 1 and the technology used to avoid interruption during your gaming session and screen tearing is AMD FreeSync Premium. To make gaming hours easily spent, eye care features, to suppress flicker and blue light, are built in.
On the back of the monitor are a couple of physical inputs
- 1 x DisplayPort 1.4a interface
- 2 x HDMI 2.1 FRL6 (current gen consoles / PCs)
- 3.5mm jack for outwards headphone routing
A stock stand is included with a vast internal range of motion providing height moves, tilt angles and swivel rotations to reach the desired position. MSI has not announced official pricing details or release retail timeframes.
