Nubia Air Pro Debuts with Ultra Slim 5.99mm Chassis High Refresh Rate AMOLED Display and Rugged IP69K Certification for Outdoor Fitness
Nubia has unveiled the Nubia Air Pro. This newest build from the popular Nubia line of smartphones is perhaps the slimmest in its class. With its 5.99 millimeters thickness and its 172 grams weight it nevertheless manages to have high input/output resources without sacrificing any structural protection. It has even been listed on the official Nubia German website.
The frontal side of the phone is equipped a 6.77 inches 1080×2400 pixels AMOLED display designed to work with refresh rates up to 144 Hz. The display based on 3840 Hz pulse width modulation frequency is optimized to mitigate eye fatigue and support maximum brightness of 4500 nits in direct illumination. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 computing platform. Memory information includes 8GB of LRDDR5X, and 256GB or 512 GB of UFS 2.2.
Camera hardware in the Nubia Z40 Pro is a dual rear camera set up led by a 108 MP main sensor supported by a secondary sensor. The secondary sensor can for example be a depth camera or an auxiliary sensor for different uses. Self shots and video calls are taken care of with a 32 MP front facing sensor set in the front display. Nubia powered the Z40 Pro with a 5000 m Ah Silicon carbon cell, supporting 45 watt fast charging and pack in bypass power, which runs electricity straight onto the motherboard to save the batteries chemical set when there is heavy demand.
Although it has a slim chassis, the Nubia Air Pro is also certified as the IP68, IP69 and IP69K. This means the smartphone is certified to be water resistant (submersible), resistant to high pressure washdowns and high temperature steam cleaning. The smartphone also encompasses a unique physical fitness utility functionality. When used with a dedicated companion sleeve which is attached to the arm of the owner by a strap the phone becomes a dedicated FITNESS TRACKER device for keeping an eye on the physical activity being carried out as part of the user workout.
Although the item is already activated on the European manufacturer's portal, official regional price and precise launch dates have yet to be released. However, renowned industry analyst Roland Quandt suggested the high end variant with 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storages can have a price tag of beginning from 350 on the European platform.
