OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro launch details and full specifications reveal massive battery and high end display quality for the budget market
OnePlus has finally confirmed the technical specifications and launch timeline for their next entry level smartphone, the Turbo 6X Pro. In official statements, the company claims that this next offering will aim to deliver high end display quality and super long battery life to a budget segment market that will be seeing its debut in the home market during an afternoon launch event.
In terms of display specifications, the Turbo 6X Pro is characterized by a 1.5K resolution AMOLED panel that boasts a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Its maximum brightness is capable of going up to 6,500 nits, providing bright display visibility even in direct sunlight. This device packs a 50MP main camera sensor that also comes with optical image stabilization to help compensate for shaky shots, especially under low light conditions.
Powering the entire system is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Super chipset, an octa core processor built with the efficient 4nm process, which offers an ideal balance between speed and power consumption. The system has enough RAM and ROM storage available in configurations up to 12GB and 256GB respectively, sufficient to run applications smoothly even in demanding conditions.
In terms of power storage, the Turbo 6X Pro packs an impressive 8,000mAh battery, supporting fast wired charging at 80W. While such an enormous battery may be worrisome in terms of charging duration, the device supports bypass charging, which allows you to bypass charging the battery and power the system directly when it is doing intensive activities like gaming, thereby preserving battery health in the long run. If for some reason that the phone itself has run out of battery, its reverse wired charging feature turns the device into a portable battery for your other accessories.
In terms of durability and environment resistance, the chassis of the Turbo 6X Pro has undergone thorough reinforcements and comes with four different ingress protection certifications (IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K) to be dust proof and resistant to high pressure water jets. In terms of other hardware features that you can look forward to, the device includes NFC capability, an IR blaster, stereo speakers, and an in display fingerprint sensor.
Regarding its software package, the smartphone will come with the latest ColorOS 16 which runs on Android 16. Apart from these official specifications, information is also being leaked about the imminent release of an even bigger OnePlus phone that will come with an up market chipset and an absolutely gargantuan 10,000mAh battery.
