SAND Raiders of Sophie Surpasses 200,000 Sales in First Week of Early Access

SAND Raiders of Sophie Sales Exceed 200000 Copies as tinyBuild Prioritizes Technical Optimization and Player Retention Strategies

The multiplayer action game SAND Raiders of Sophie sold over 200000 copies during its first week of Steam Early Access. This title from tinyBuild reached this sales target with a modest launch campaign. The development team expressed gratitude via social media for the significant support provided by the community during these early stages.

The visibility of the game was primarily bolstered by content creators and streamers. According to tinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik, engagement figures demonstrate that five percent of players have already accumulated 50 hours of playtime. Nichiporchik noted that this data indicates "the core loop is successful in retaining players" as they dive into the desert world.

SAND Raiders of Sophie is an action game set on a desert planet where players fight one another to collect and extract valuable resources. A unique element of the gameplay is the introduction of giant walking robots which players can commandeer. These massive vehicles traverse the dunes to hunt opponents and protect gathered loot from rival squads.

While SAND Raiders of Sophie has achieved a great start regarding sales, the current player reviews are mixed. Users have cited buggy technical performance and various optimization issues. Additionally, regional support is currently limited. The game is not available for direct purchase in Russia where players have experienced extensive connection issues in multiplayer modes. A focus on patching technical issues for the duration of the early access period will likely be the immediate priority for the team.
