Garmin has introduced a screenless fitness tracker called the CIRQA. The wearable pairs a lightweight polymer design with premium health sensors and a 10 day battery life. According to official product details, this device does not lock any of its features behind a paid subscription despite costing more than the rival Google Fitbit Air.
The hardware measures 9 millimeters thick and weighs only 14.8 grams. The main body consists of reinforced polymer, paired with a swappable fabric wrist strap. Inside the housing, Garmin packed an accelerometer, a heart rate monitor, a skin temperature sensor, and a blood oxygen sensor. A single charge keeps the device running for up to 10 days of continuous tracking.
Since the band lacks a display, users view all their health metrics on a companion mobile app. The tracking suite covers standard data points such as steps, sleep quality, daily calories, and blood oxygen levels. Garmin also included advanced metrics usually reserved for its premium smartwatches, including Body Battery, Training Readiness, Fitness Age, and the virtual Garmin Coach training program.
Unlike rival trackers, every single metric and training tool in the app is free to use forever. Global sales begin tomorrow at a retail price of 199 dollars. Buyers can choose from 4 distinct color schemes including black, blue, gray, and lilac.
