HP has launched a new configuration of its Star Studio Pro 27 inch all in one computer. This desktop PC pairs a sharp 1440p screen with a capable Intel processor for everyday productivity tasks. However, the premium hardware configuration is currently exclusive to the Chinese retail market.
The computer runs on an 8 core Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor. To keep performance smooth during multitasking, HP fitted the system with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 5600 MHz. Local storage relies on a 1 TB solid state drive utilizing a fast PCIe 4.0 interface. This combination ensures that the system handles office applications and daily browsing without any slowdowns.
The 27 inch display offers a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels and supports a fluid 100 Hz refresh rate. Designers and media consumers will appreciate the 100% sRGB color gamut coverage alongside 350 nits of peak brightness. For comfort during long work sessions, the panel has received low blue light certification from TÜV Rheinland.
For video calls, a Full HD camera sits at the top of the display, featuring physical privacy protection and support for Windows Hello facial sign in. A pair of 3 watt speakers handles the audio output. Connectivity is highly versatile, featuring 2 USB C ports running at 20 gigabits per second, 1 USB A port running at 10 gigabits per second, and 2 standard USB 2.0 ports. Hardwired internet relies on a gigabit Ethernet port, while external displays can connect through the HDMI 2.0b output. The desktop has debuted in China at a price of 9399 yuan, which converts to roughly 1390 US dollars.
