Keychron has announced the G6 HE UltraLight, a gaming mouse designed for competitive players. The lightweight device pairs a PixArt PAW3955 optical sensor with customizable MagOptic switches that deliver a distinct physical click. But the model is currently only available through a crowdfunding campaign in Japan.
The compact chassis measures 123.7 by 63 by 41 millimeters and features a plastic body with a non slip coating. Inside, the mouse utilizes the Nordic nRF54LM20A controller to manage wireless signals and tracking accuracy. The left and right buttons rely on proprietary MagOptic switches, which use electromagnetic tracking to let users adjust actuation points while keeping a traditional tactile click feel.
Two battery configurations are available for players seeking different physical weights. The built in battery version weighs 42 grams, while the model with a removable battery weighs 46 grams. Both options use a 350 mAh battery, but users can add physical weights to increase the total mass to 52 grams or 62 grams. Battery life reaches 340 hours over Bluetooth, or 35 hours when using the 2.4 GHz wireless connection at an 8000 Hz polling rate.
Keychron has not shared plans for a wider global release yet. The standard model is available for pre order at $73, while the removable battery configuration is priced at $87. Shipping details and a formal retail release window are expected to follow once the crowdfunding campaign ends.
