Lenovo has launched the Lecoo Pro 14, a thin laptop that supports desktop class gaming through a dedicated external graphics port. The device pairs a high resolution screen with either Intel or AMD silicon, alongside dual slots for storage upgrades. It is currently available in the Chinese market starting at 850 dollars.

Buyers can choose between 2 different processor configurations depending on their brand preference. The Intel version runs on a Core Ultra 5 135H chip while the AMD variant features a Ryzen 7 H 255. Both models come equipped with 24GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 512GB solid state drive. The AMD configuration holds a slight edge in memory speed, reaching 6400 MT per second compared to the 5600 MT per second on the Intel model. Unlike most thin laptops, Lenovo left the storage fully upgradeable by including 2 physical M.2 2280 slots on the motherboard.

The standout feature of this laptop is the OCuLink port. This interface connects an external graphics card directly to the motherboard using PCIe lanes. According to Lenovo product details, this setup provides wider bandwidth and much lower latency than standard Thunderbolt or USB4 connections. It essentially turns a thin travel laptop into a fully capable gaming rig when docked at home.

Both configurations share the same display specifications. The 14 inch matte screen has a sharp 2880x1800 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It hits a peak brightness of 400 nits and covers 100% of the sRGB color spectrum. The hinge is built to lay flat, opening up to a full 180 degrees.

Connecting accessories is simple because of the generous port layout. You get 2 USB C ports, 3 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports, HDMI 2.1, a physical Gigabit Ethernet jack, a microSD card reader, and an audio connection. To keep temperatures low, the cooling system relies on 2 fans that push hot air out the back. The internal cooling design varies by processor. The Intel model has 3 heat pipes, while the AMD model gets by with 2. A large 80Wh battery keeps things running, and Lenovo bundles a compact 100W GaN charger in the box. A fingerprint reader is built into the power button, and the 1080p webcam has a physical privacy shutter.
