Phison Electronics Achieves Historic Revenue Growth Amid Massive Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Expansion And Record PCIe SSD Shipment Volumes
Phison Electronics reported record breaking financial results as the global demand for artificial intelligence hardware continues to accelerate. According to the official financial disclosures from the company cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$108.855 billion. This milestone represents a 243% increase compared to the same period in the prior year and marks the first time the semiconductor firm has crossed the NT$100 billion threshold in a six month period.
The financial momentum was particularly visible in the monthly and quarterly figures. Consolidated revenue for the month of June reached NT$24.853 billion representing a 9% increase compared to May and a massive 301% growth compared to June of the previous year. This performance contributed to a record second quarter revenue of NT$67.888 billion which represents a 66% increase quarter over quarter and a 280% expansion year over year.
Phison CEO K.S. Pua explained that the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure is driving the current market dynamics. Pua noted that generative artificial intelligence operations are transitioning from the initial training phases to large scale inference systems. This transition is maintaining high growth in NAND storage requirements. Pua added that the overall market supply remains highly constrained with order visibility from major cloud service providers stretching into the first half of 2027.
Specific product lines experienced dramatic shipment surges reflecting the broader server market trends. Mobile controller shipments grew by 47% year over year in June. More significantly shipments of PCIe SSD boot drives grew by 5600% compared to the previous year. This rapid growth highlights the intense demand from general servers AI servers and high performance AI networking environments.
In response to these market conditions Phison is adjusting its long term corporate strategy. The company is actively reducing its exposure to the retail market to focus its manufacturing capacity on enterprise grade solid state drives. By prioritizing high value added artificial intelligence storage solutions Phison aims to capture higher margins and solidify its role as a key supplier for the global enterprise server supply chain.
