Samsung Galaxy Jump 5 Debuts with Super AMOLED Display Snapdragon Performance and a Reliable Six Year Software Update Roadmap at a Fair Price Point
Samsung has expanded its mid range mobile device lineup in its home territory of South Korea with the launch of the Galaxy Jump 5. Designed to deliver flagship quality display technology and an extended software support policy, this device will retail at an affordable $350. In tandem with a tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 system on a chip, the manufacturer is offering strong hardware at a fair price point alongside a six year upgrade roadmap aimed at consumers who want device longevity without the heavy price typically associated with flagship devices.
The front of this device is home to a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of Full HD+ and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This allows for fluid scrolling experiences and high quality animations within the system. Internally, the manufacturer has installed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 family of chips. These are coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built in storage. The storage capacity can be supplemented using a standard micro SD card slot.
The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery which should provide reliable screen on time for most users. A 25W wired fast charging method means that users do not need to hesitate over leaving the device on charge overnight. A partnership with Qualcomm allows for 5G network compatibility and connectivity along with the physical security offered by a side mounted fingerprint scanner built into the power button.
