System76 Refreshes Hardware Lineup with Redesigned Lemur Pro and High Performance Adder Pro Workstation Powered by Intel Panther Lake
System76 has refreshed its hardware lineup by releasing its newly redesigned Lemur Pro and providing a preview of the high performance Adder Pro. Both new devices utilize the next generation Panther Lake processor architecture from Intel to enhance computing capabilities. According to official System76 product specifications, these open source Linux machines feature custom optimized firmware designed to handle heavy business loads and creative processing.
Lemur Pro Specifications and Pricing Details
The updated Lemur Pro is available as both a 14 inch and 16 inch portable machine. The new chassis is 3 pounds lighter than the previous model while providing up to 18 hours of battery life. Multi core computing capability has increased by 30 percent to 50 percent thanks to the new Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor which offers 100 percent faster graphics interactions. Customers can configure the system with up to 32GB of memory and 4TB of solid state storage. The base cost for the Lemur Pro starts at $1,999 with promotional savings currently available directly from the manufacturer.
Adder Pro Workstation Features
The Adder Pro is a high end performance workstation soon to be available for power users. This laptop is compatible with both Windows and Linux and features a 15.3 inch OLED display with quad high definition plus resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and 100 percent DCI P3 coverage. Processing power is delivered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H silicon which includes 16 total cores reaching a maximum 4.7 GHz clock speed. An integrated neural processing unit provides 50 TOPS for local AI processing.
The video subsystem includes either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or 5070 graphics cards featuring 8GB of GDDR7 memory. The system supports up to 96GB of dual channel DDR5 RAM running at 5600 MHz. For storage, the machine includes a primary M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 bay supporting up to 4TB and a secondary M.2 2242 port. The Adder Pro is powered by a 60Wh battery supported by a 230W power port.
The Adder Pro runs on Pop OS 24.04 LTS with the COSMIC desktop environment or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and 26.04 LTS. System connections include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C ports with DisplayPort 1.4 support where one port also supplies charging power. The layout also includes two Type A ports, an HDMI video outlet, a Gigabit Ethernet connection, a 2 in 1 audio jack, and a Kensington lock slot. Wireless data flows are handled by Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The machine weighs 3.37 pounds with dimensions of 34.37 by 26.19 by 1.98 cm.
