Acer has released the Nitro 8 gaming laptop in China featuring an Intel Core i7 14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics. The new 16 inch machine pairs a 180Hz display with a dual fan cooling setup. Prices for the RTX 5060 configuration start at 8999 yuan about 1339.07$.
The core platform combines the Intel Core i7 14650HX chip with options for either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 or RTX 5060 laptop graphics card. The RTX 5060 variant ships with 16GB of system memory and 1000GB of high speed storage. According to retail data reported by IT Home, government subsidies in China bring the purchase cost down to 8999 yuan, with various online storefronts offering extra promotions.
Up front, the Nitro 8 sports a 16 inch panel with a resolution of 2560x1800. The screen delivers a smooth 180Hz refresh rate alongside 400 nits of peak brightness and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. To keep temperatures under control during heavy gaming sessions, Acer built an internal cooling system equipped with 2 fans, 5 heat pipes, and 4 exhaust vents.
For wireless networking, the machine supports Wi Fi 6E for low latency online gaming. Physical connectivity includes 4 USB ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 output for external displays, 1 RJ45 ethernet jack for wired internet, and 1 3.5mm audio jack.
