AOOSTAR has announced the return of its high performance NEX 395 mini PC with a revised memory configuration. The compact desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen AI Max plus 395 processor with 64GB of ultra fast LPDDR5X 8533 memory. However, early buyers will need to navigate a pricing discrepancy between the official promotional announcement and current retail listings.
The chassis measures 284 by 159 by 52 millimeters and weighs approximately 2 kilograms. Under the hood, AOOSTAR implemented its Glacier 5.0 vapor chamber cooling system alongside copper fins and a dedicated cooling fan for the M.2 solid state storage. This robust thermal setup allows the system to sustain a performance release of up to 140W. It also includes an integrated audio setup with dual channel chamber speakers and a microphone array.
Expansion options are plentiful for a machine of this scale. The motherboard houses 3 PCIe Gen4 slots for M.2 2280 solid state drives, allowing for extensive storage upgrades. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi Fi 7 technology. Physical ports are split across the chassis, with the front housing 1 USB C port running at 40Gbps. The rear panel provides 2 RJ45 ports running at 2.5GbE, an additional USB C port running at 40Gbps, 3 USB A ports running at 10Gbps, 1 legacy USB A port at 480Mbps, 1 HDMI port, 1 DisplayPort, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The pricing strategy for this relaunch has caused some confusion among prospective buyers on Chinese e commerce sites. AOOSTAR advertised the promotional launch price for the 64GB memory and 1TB storage variant at 12999 Yuan about 1926.05 US, claiming it as the lowest price across the web. Despite this claim, current listings on major retail platforms show the same configuration priced at 13599 Yuan about 2014.95 US.
