ASUS has launched the Pad T3201, a new tablet featuring a 12.2 inch Tandem OLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and up to 2000 nits peak brightness. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, the device packs a massive 9000 mAh battery into a slim 6.5 mm chassis. Pricing starts at $545 in China, though international release details have not yet surfaced.
The front of the tablet is dominated by a sharp OLED panel running at a 2800x1840 resolution. Its 3:2 aspect ratio gives you extra vertical room, which works well for editing spreadsheets and reading long documents. Despite housing a large screen, the device stays portable. The frame is crafted from metal, while the back cover uses lightweight fiberglass to keep the total weight down to 530 grams.
Under the hood sits the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor. The hardware setup includes 8GB of fast LPDDR5X memory, which can expand up to 16GB using software based virtual RAM. Storage clocks in at 256GB, and users who need more space can slide in a microSD card up to 1TB.
Sound output comes through a setup of 4 speakers supporting Dolby Atmos. For wireless connectivity, the tablet includes Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. A 9000 mAh battery keeps everything running, and 45W fast charging tops up the cell quickly when power runs low. Camera duties are handled by a 13 MP rear sensor and a 5 MP front camera for video calls. The tablet runs Android 16 straight out of the box.
