Gigabyte is preparing to launch the AORUS FO27U24GP ICE, a 27 inch gaming monitor featuring a dual layer WOLED panel from LG Display. The display switches between 4K at 240Hz and 1080P at 480Hz, wrapped in an all white chassis. Mass production is scheduled to begin in mid October, with retail sales starting in the first quarter of 2027.
According to a report from TFT Central, this new screen relies on LG Display tandem WOLED technology with an RGB stripe subpixel structure. This layout helps improve text clarity while reducing color fringing issues that affected older OLED screens. Gamers get 2 distinct refresh modes depending on their needs. You can run games at 4K resolution with a smooth 240Hz refresh rate, or drop down to 1080P to hit 480Hz for competitive titles.
Visual performance looks impressive across the board. The panel delivers a 0.03ms gray to gray response time and covers 99% of the DCI P3 color space with 10 bit color depth. Standard SDR brightness sits at 250 nits, while HDR highlights can reach peak levels of 1000 nits. Gigabyte also equipped the screen with a RealBlack Glossy coating. This surface treatment cuts down on ambient reflections in bright rooms while keeping black levels deep and inky.
Connectivity includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 inputs to handle high bandwidth video feeds. A USB C port provides single cable connectivity with 65W power delivery to charge laptops and accessories. Audio is handled by 2 internal 5W speakers built directly into the housing. Gigabyte will back the monitor with a 3 year warranty when it arrives on shelves early next year.
