Phase 2 of the Honor MagicOS 10 August update has arrived. Reaching devices like the Magic7 series and the WIN gaming phones, the software rollout focuses heavily on 7 main artificial intelligence upgrades. But older legacy models are still waiting on the 3rd phase scheduled for later in the month.
According to the official MagicOS announcement on Weibo, the updated operating system is now deploying to the second group of compatible devices. Release notes compiled by IT Home show that this phase covers the flagship Magic7 lineup, the Magic V5, the Honor 500 series, the GT Pro, and the high performance WIN and WIN RT gaming models. Users can grab the download immediately by visiting the software update section in their device settings and selecting the early access option in the top right menu.
The core of this update is the expansion of local artificial intelligence capabilities. The YOYO memory feature now supports automatic long video analysis across 5 major short video platforms including Douyin and Bilibili. Users can swipe down with 3 fingers while watching a video to generate automated summaries and structured meeting notes. Honor Notes has also gained semantic search, allowing users to find files by their general meaning instead of typing exact keywords.
The visual experience gets a refresh with the new Quiet Blue Waves summer theme, designed to bring a cooler aesthetic to the desktop. The AI sidebar now lets users pin their most used digital assistants to the screen for quicker access. For international communication, the translation tool built into the system can automatically detect the incoming language without manual selection. Finally, the file manager merges the My Files and Browse tabs, streamlining the folder layout so finding documents requires fewer taps.
