HUAWEI has launched the MateBook Pro S, an ultra lightweight laptop weighing just 798 grams. The hardware pairs a magnesium lithium alloy chassis with a 14.2 inch touchscreen pOLED display and the new Kirin XE90 processor. The premium notebook is currently available in China starting at 7999 yuan.
The screen is a major highlight. Running at a 120 Hz refresh rate with a resolution of 3120x2080, the panel peaks at 1600 nits of brightness. Huawei also offers a specialized version of the laptop with a flexible screen that protects your privacy. This option restricts viewing angles to prevent strangers from spying on your work.
Inside sits the Kirin XE90 processor. Huawei claims this silicon brings a 23% jump in single core speed compared to the previous Kirin X90. It also runs 25% more efficiently and delivers a 40% performance gain for the built in neural processing unit.
