Huawei has introduced premium design accessories for its FreeClip 2 clip on earbuds. Created in partnership with French jewelry brand Les Nereides, the new attachments come in Golden Bee and Forget me not Flower styles. These design upgrades complement a wearable that boasts 9 hours of battery life and a low power audio chip.
Under the hood, the FreeClip 2 relies on a 10.8 millimeter open dual diaphragm acoustic driver. The hardware doubles both volume output and low frequency performance compared to previous designs. Audio is managed by a 3rd generation self developed low power processor. The chip supports L2HC audio encoding alongside adaptive volume control and spatial audio. In fact, head tracking latency is cut by 40% to make the soundstage feel more natural during movement.
Battery life holds up well for long listening sessions. Each earbud contains a 60mAh battery that delivers 9 hours of playback. The 537mAh charging case pushes the total runtime to 38 hours. If you run out of power, a quick 10 minute top up adds 3 hours of listening time. This rapid charging capability reduces downtime for daily commuters.
