Hyundai Motor Group has announced plans to launch more than 100 new and refreshed vehicles by 2030 across its Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands. The upcoming lineup spans fully electric cars, standard hybrids, and extended range electric vehicles engineered to exceed 965 km of driving range. The automaker also aims to expand its global annual production capacity to 1.27 million vehicles while rolling out next generation battery hardware.
Regional markets will receive different allocations from this product rollout. North America leads the distribution with 58 models planned, followed by 49 for Korea, 41 for Europe, 26 for India, and 22 for China. Key upcoming releases include a redesigned Elantra sedan, the compact IONIQ 3 electric car, and updated editions of both the Tucson and Tucson Hybrid.
A major focus of the product roadmap involves extended range electric vehicles, known as EREV models. In this configuration, electric motors drive the wheels directly while a small onboard gasoline engine acts purely as a generator to recharge the battery pack. The first vehicle to adopt this system will be a new Santa Fe model arriving in the first half of 2027. Hyundai expects these configurations to deliver a combined driving range exceeding 965 km, eliminating charging stop concerns on long road trips.
Alongside new car launches, the company is engineering improved battery cells to boost overall electrical performance. Hyundai stated that these cells will double power output compared to previous nickel battery packs while cutting charging times by 40%. The group expects these technological upgrades to support its target of building 1.27 million vehicles annually by 2030 as it balances hybrid demand with long term electrification plans.
