Lenovo has unveiled the Legion C700, a lightweight handheld console built specifically for cloud gaming and remote streaming. The device pairs a 7.82 inch 120Hz display with dedicated streaming software to deliver high frame rate gameplay at low latency. It is launching in China with an introductory price of 1999 yuan before rising to its standard 2199 yuan retail cost.
Cloud gaming hardware lives and dies by network performance. Lenovo introduced the Legion C700 at its official launch event with deep integration for Tencent START cloud gaming alongside its proprietary LEGION STREAM platform. During technical demonstrations, the company showcased demanding titles like Black Myth Wukong running at 60 FPS with round trip network latency held under 10ms. The software platform also allows for one touch game streaming from a local PC, including fast streaming modes that work across local home networks without needing active internet access.
Ergonomics take center stage on the physical build. The handheld weighs roughly 556 grams and measures only 14.9 millimeters thick. This makes the system nearly 300 grams lighter than standard Windows portable consoles, reducing hand fatigue during long play sessions. For physical controls, Lenovo equipped the machine with TMR sensor joysticks, Hall effect linear triggers, and an omnidirectional D Pad. Players also get 2 rear buttons and 2 secondary shoulder buttons that support full custom input mapping.
System settings are handled through a quick access management center. Gamers can pull up a floating performance widget at any time to monitor system health, change fan speeds, or adjust display parameters on the fly. The software also provides granular tuning for thumbstick sensitivity curves and controller profiles. Official retail sales begin next month.
