A new mini PC has launched in global markets. The Minisforum M2 Pro features an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H Panther Lake processor, 32GB of fast soldered memory, and 10 GbE networking. This compact desktop is available now starting at $1439 in the US and 1519 euros in Europe.
Minisforum is expanding its desktop lineup with third generation Intel Core Ultra silicon. The initial release of the M2 Pro arrives in a single hardware tier driven by the Core Ultra X7 358H chip. Internal memory relies on 32GB of onboard LPDDR5X running at 7467 MT/s. It ships with a 1TB solid state drive right out of the box for quick setup.
Storage expansion options are extensive for a small form factor machine. The motherboard includes 3 M.2 2280 slots, with each connection capable of handling drives up to 8TB in capacity. 2 of these ports operate over PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes while the third runs on an x1 interface. The entire enclosure measures 195 by 195 by 47.5 millimeters and weighs 1.39 kilograms, making it easy to slip onto a crowded workstation desk.
Networking represents a major selling point for power users and homelab builders. Minisforum fitted the chassis with a dual ethernet setup featuring both 10 GbE and 2.5 GbE ports. Wireless connections are handled by Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 support. For external displays and fast external peripherals, you get 3 USB4 ports pushing bandwidth speeds up to 40 Gbps each.
