MSI Celebrates 40 Anniversary with Exclusive Draco Epic Edition Hardware Lineup

With the Draco Epic Edition collection, MSI has unveiled an exclusive hardware lineup to celebrate its 40 anniversary. The design borrows inspiration from the legendary dragon Draco, wrapping motherboards, graphics cards, and gaming gear in a deep blue and gold constellation theme. But the manufacturer has yet to announce final pricing or release dates for these limited edition products.

The core of the collection features the MEG X870E Ace Max motherboard and the GeForce RTX 5080 Suprim graphics card. According to the official MSI product catalogue, the motherboard features an intricate light pattern finish that gives the dragon artwork a tactile texture. On the performance side, the board offers a dual LAN setup with 10G and 5G ports alongside WiFi 7 support. The matching graphics card carries a Hyper Frozr thermal design that blends Stormforce fans with a precision vapor chamber to manage heat under heavy workloads.

Liquid cooling and power delivery receive the same celestial styling. The MEG Coreliquid E15 liquid cooler features custom laser engraving on aluminum and exclusive dragon animations on its pump block. It works alongside the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 power supply, which boasts an addressable RGB panel synchronized through the official MSI software. This power unit is built with advanced silicon carbide MOSFET technology and includes dual native 12V 2x6 connectors to support demanding graphics hardware quietly.

For the outer build, the MEG Maestro 900R chassis swaps its original gray panels for a deep blue finish detailed with the Draco constellation. The case offers a centered motherboard tray that can rotate 4 ways to give builders maximum layout freedom. This is complemented by the Gaming Gear Bundle, which packages the Strike Wireless 8K HE keyboard, the Versa Wireless 8K mouse, and the Agility mouse pad. Both the mouse and keyboard support an ultra responsive 8000 Hz polling rate for competitive gaming precision.

Audio is handled by the Maestro Wireless headset, completing the constellation themed setup. The earcups showcase golden constellation lines and detailed dragon artwork over a dark blue background. It includes 40 mm high resolution drivers, active noise cancellation, and a battery rated for up to 90 hours of continuous playtime. This entire anniversary collection serves as a commemorative showcase of the company history, though collectors will need to act quickly once the limited retail run begins.
