Nvidia has rolled out a major update for its GeForce Now cloud gaming platform during Gamescom. The expansion brings granular DLSS 4.5 performance controls alongside new hardware compatibility for Steam devices and Amazon Fire TV sticks. Subscribers can also link GOG accounts directly and stream games through Firefox starting this week.
The standout visual upgrade gives players deeper control over DLSS 4.5 settings across hundreds of supported titles. Users can now fine tune how their streams balance resolution and frame rates directly from the interface. It gives cloud players the same visual customization options found on local PC rigs.
On the library side, Nvidia is launching GOG Single Sign On this week. This lets you connect a GOG account once to automatically sync supported games and launch them with 1 click. You no longer have to sign in manually every time you start a gaming session from your digital shelf.
Platform compatibility is expanding across living room hardware and desktop software. GeForce Now now officially works inside Firefox, completing compatibility across all major web browsers. For couch play, support arrives on more Amazon streaming hardware including the new Fire TV Stick 4K Select. Later this year, Amazon users will also be able to buy GeForce Now subscriptions directly through their Amazon accounts with 1 click billing.
Steam hardware users get some love as well. Official support is rolling out for the Steam Machine and the Steam Controller, building on the existing handheld support for the Steam Deck. This gives players more ways to stream games using hardware they already have plugged in at home.
Nvidia also confirmed several major upcoming PC releases scheduled for day 1 streaming access on the service. The lineup includes Gears of War E Day, Control Resonant, and The Blood of the Dawn Walker. New games and features will continue to drop every week through regular GFN Thursday updates.
