HP has unveiled the OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 at IFA 2026, introducing some of the thinnest laptops built around the NVIDIA RTX Spark platform. Both machines combine 120Hz OLED displays with Blackwell graphics and up to 128GB of unified memory for heavy artificial intelligence workloads. They are scheduled to hit the market before the end of autumn, though HP has not yet released pricing details.
The core of both laptops is the RTX Spark platform, which targets local artificial intelligence processing, gaming, and demanding creative software. Buyers can select between an 18 core processor with a 5120 core Blackwell GPU or a larger 20 core chip packing 6144 GPU cores. The top configuration reaches up to 1 PFLOPS of FP4 compute power for AI tasks. Memory capacity is a standout spec here. HP allows configurations ranging from 32GB up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5X 9400 RAM alongside up to 2TB of PCIe Gen5 solid state storage.
Both laptops feature sharp OLED panels running at 2880x1800 resolution with 120Hz refresh rates and variable refresh rate support. The panels deliver 100% DCI P3 color coverage and reach 1100 nits of peak HDR brightness with DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The larger OmniBook Ultra 16 uses a 16 inch touchscreen and measures 15.73 millimeters thick at the rear, weighing 2.22 kilograms. To cool the internals, it uses a specialized Tower Hinge and Trunk airflow design. It also houses a 99 Wh battery rated for up to 17 hours of runtime, a 140W Type C GaN power brick, 4 speakers, and a haptic trackpad.
The smaller OmniBook X 14 drops the rear profile down to 13.53 millimeters and weighs 1.71 kilograms. Its 14 inch screen boasts a 0.2 millisecond response time for fast motion. Cooling is managed by 2 fans and 2 heat pipes with infrared temperature sensors, while an 80 Wh battery supplies up to 15 hours of power. Physical ports are generous across both machines. You get 2 USB Type C ports running at 40 Gbps with DisplayPort 2.1, 2 USB Type A ports at 10 Gbps, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. The 16 inch model adds a microSD card slot for extra storage.
