Minisforum has released the UM780L Slim, a compact mini PC measuring just 0.77 liters. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS chip and fast onboard LPDDR5X 7500 memory, the system delivers desktop class speed in a 0.6 kilogram frame. Prices in China start at 3159 yuan for the base configuration.
The physical chassis measures 130 by 126 by 47.2 millimeters. Inside, cooling relies on a blower fan and phase change thermal material to manage heat during heavy workloads. According to Minisforum, the unit runs at 26dB during idle periods and tops out at 40dB under full load in quiet mode.
For internal storage, users get 2 M.2 2280 slots running on PCIe Gen 4 speeds. Wireless connectivity includes Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Port selection covers both modern and legacy peripherals. The front panel holds 2 USB A 10Gbps ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. Around the back, you will find 1 USB C 40Gbps port, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 2.5GbE RJ45 jack, and 2 standard USB A ports for basic accessories.
Minisforum is offering the UM780L Slim in three memory and storage configurations in China. The base model comes with 16GB of RAM and no onboard storage for 3,159 yuan. The 512GB SSD version costs 3,799 yuan, while the 1TB model is priced at 4,299 yuan.
The UM780L Slim is already available in China, with the global launch expected later in October. International pricing starts at $535 for the 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD model, while the 1TB version costs $599. Both configurations are expected to begin shipping globally in late October.
