Xiaomi has revealed official renders of the Xiaomi 18 Fold ahead of its upcoming autumn launch event. The new foldable pairs an unconventional paper proportion interior screen with a proprietary Xring O3 AI flagship processor and a 200MP Leica camera array. Official images confirm the device will arrive in Warm Gold White and Black finishes.
Xiaomi wants to rethink folding phone displays. The 7.58 inch internal folding panel adopts a root 2 to 1 aspect ratio matching standard international paper sizes. This change maximizes usable reading space and multitasking efficiency. On the outside, users interact with a 5.38 inch cover screen. Both displays feature full RGB pixel layouts and reach peak brightness levels of 4000 nits during 30% average picture level conditions. The inner glass also includes an anti reflective layer to keep glare under control in bright sunlight.
The exterior hardware adopts flat sides with curved corners and very thin symmetrical borders. The back features a racetrack oval camera housing that sits flush against the rear panel. Visible frame lines confirm a metal build designed for daily durability.
The camera setup continues the partnership with Leica. It houses 3 lenses on the rear, led by a 200MP primary sensor measuring 1/1.56 inch for high detail capture. Zoom duties are handled by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical reach. A 50MP ultra wide camera completes the package for landscape shots.
Battery capacity is surprisingly large for a folding phone. Xiaomi packed a 6000mAh Jinshajiang battery inside the slim body. When you run low on power, the phone supports 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
