Acer has released the Shadow Knight G710, a compact gaming tablet built around an 8.8 inch screen and 5G cellular connectivity. The device pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with a 165 Hz display and dual USB Type C ports inside a frame under 7 millimeters thick. The hardware is currently on sale in China starting at 4099 yuan, with international release plans still unconfirmed.
The front panel features an 8.8 inch IPS screen running at a resolution of 3008x1880 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel runs at 144 Hz by default, but users can toggle a gaming mode to push the refresh rate up to 165 Hz. Acer keeps the chassis under 7 millimeters thick, resulting in a portable build that weighs roughly 355 grams.
An 8 core MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor powers the device at clock speeds up to 3.35 GHz alongside a Mali G615 graphics chip. The base configuration combines 8GB of LPDDR5 memory with 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. A higher tier upgrades the tablet to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Both models run Android 15 out of the box.
Acer equipped the tablet with a 5G modem, dual band Wi Fi, and 2 separate USB Type C ports so players can charge the battery comfortably without cables blocking their grip. A 6300 mAh battery provides system power and supports 33W fast charging. Dual stereo speakers handle audio, while cameras include a 13 MP rear lens and an 8 MP front sensor for video calls.
The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model sells in China for 4099 yuan, which converts to roughly $615. The 12GB and 512GB version costs 4999 yuan, or approximately $750. Acer has not confirmed when or if the device will launch in markets outside China.
