AMD Launches Ryzen AI Halo Platform with 192GB Memory Support

AMD has announced the next generation Ryzen AI Halo developer platform built around the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. The system supports up to 192GB of unified memory, allowing engineers to run AI models with over 300B parameters locally. The Linux edition is available for purchase at $7299.99.

The platform improves processing speeds across the CPU, GPU, and NPU compared to the original hardware. Memory capacity serves as the defining upgrade for this release. The motherboard accommodates up to 192GB of high speed LPDDR5X 8533 memory. Developers can dedicate up to 160GB of this pool directly as shared video memory. This configuration removes memory bandwidth bottlenecks when loading large neural networks into local hardware.

The expanded memory capacity allows the system to process large language models exceeding 300B parameters entirely on device without relying on external cloud servers. AMD targets this workstation directly at software developers building and testing machine learning architectures. The Linux configuration of the platform is priced at $7299.99.
