Apple has revealed the pricing for its top configuration Mac Studio powered by the M5 Ultra chip. The desktop offers up to 512GB of unified memory, pushing the machine into extreme workstation territory. Orders are live on the Apple online store with initial shipments scheduled for late November.
Apple sets the baseline Mac Studio with 96GB of unified memory, while expanding that capacity to 512GB adds $15500 to the total cost. Selecting the full 512GB memory package alongside a 1TB solid state drive brings the retail price to $22299. Upgrading the internal storage to the maximum 16TB solid state drive increases the price of that exact build to $29799.
Customers can customize and purchase the system directly through the Apple website. Hardware shipments begin late November and continue into early December. This top tier Mac Studio configuration targets professional production environments and machine learning workflows that require massive memory bandwidth on a single desktop workstation.
