BIOSTAR EdgeComp MS U320 Fanless System Delivers 40 TOPS AI Power

BIOSTAR has introduced the EdgeComp MS U320, a fanless industrial PC running on the Intel Core 5 processor 320 Wildcat Lake architecture. The hardware delivers 40 TOPS of local artificial intelligence computing power alongside 4 dedicated COM ports for factory equipment. The system supports both Windows and Ubuntu 24.04 platforms, though official retail pricing has not been released.

The metal enclosure measures 310 by 202 by 72 millimeters and weighs 1.2 kilograms. Inside, BIOSTAR provides 1 DDR5 SO DIMM memory slot. System expansion relies on 3 separate M.2 slots assigned to PCIe Gen4 x2 solid state drives, wireless network cards, and cellular mobile modules.

Input and output ports are distributed across both sides of the chassis. 1 side provides 2 USB A 5Gbps ports, 2 USB A 480Mbps ports, 2 separate 2.5GbE RJ45 ethernet connections, 1 HDMI 2.1 display output, and 1 DisplayPort 1.4 port. The opposite side includes 2 additional USB A 480Mbps ports, 2 RS232 serial ports, 2 configurable RS232 422 485 ports, and 2 separate 3.5 millimeter audio jacks.

The hardware functions in operating temperatures from 20 degrees below zero up to 50 degrees Celsius, handling relative humidity levels between 5% and 90%. System power relies on a wide 9 to 24V DC input. Physical mounting options include dedicated kits for DIN rail, wall mount, and standard VESA installations.
