BULKHEAD has detailed Update 0.2 for WARDOGS, introducing 4 weapons, 4 vehicles, and dynamic rain systems to the multiplayer shooter. The patch cuts high caliber rifle damage and adds a gold conversion system to protect player time during seasonal progression resets. The new season rollout begins next week across all active game servers.
BULKHEAD rebalanced weapons across all 4 combat roles and made changes to armor and explosives.
- New weapons: TCX SPR rifle for Assault, PP 19 Bizon for Medics, M14 DMR for Recon, and Evo 3 Ultra LMG for Support.
- Assault equipment: Molotov cocktails added to deny areas to enemy infantry.
- Ammunition damage reduced: .308 Winchester by 25%, 7.62x54mmR by 20%, 7.62x39mm by 19%, and .50 caliber by 16%.
- MMGL grenade launcher: Muzzle velocity reduced by 25%, with heavy weapon sway when fired from helicopter passenger benches.
- Body armor: Level 4 damage reduction lowered from 65% to 60%.
The vehicle sandbox expands with 4 new options, alongside higher acquisition costs and new squad inventory controls.
- New vehicles: Wolf 110 light transport, Wolf 110 Assault, T 72B3 battle tank, and Flakpanzer Gepard anti air platform.
- Vehicle prices: Leopard tank increased from $14,000 to $22,000, while the Havoc helicopter rises from $18,000 to $28,000.
- Squad inventory: Vehicle owners can restrict inventory access to their own squad to prevent unauthorized resource theft.
Dynamic rain introduces new battlefield effects, while field construction and resupply become more expensive.
- Dynamic weather: Localized rain and synchronized thunder can mask footsteps and nearby gunfire.
- Heavy helmets: Super heavy helmets can fog visors and muffle hearing in wet conditions.
- Mortar emplacements: Building supply cost increased from 150 to 800.
- Talon resupply: Munitions cost increased from 50 to 200, while reload time rises from 2 to 5 seconds.
BULKHEAD also introduced faction balancing changes based on match statistics, along with new currency and progression rules.
- Team balance: Blue won 10% of matches, compared with 40% for Red and 50% for Green.
- Blue faction bonuses: Uniform changes, bonus cash, extra XP, and a 20% vendor discount when trailing by 40 points.
- Wager vendor: Players can stake currency on personal match achievements.
- Team switching: Players leading by 10 points face a 15 minute lockout when attempting to switch teams.
- End of season wipes: According to executive producer Joe Brammer, unused cash converts into gold bars for permanent cosmetic unlocks, while earned XP remains available for long term skill progression planned for version 1.0.
