CMF by Nothing has released the Speaker S and Speaker M, 2 portable Bluetooth units featuring a distinct milk carton silhouette. Both models allow owners to replace the front grille and volume dial using custom 3D printed components. The smaller Speaker S retails for $59, while the more powerful Speaker M enters the market at $109.
The Speaker S runs on a custom 45mm driver alongside 2 passive radiators, producing 10W RMS output across a frequency band of 70 to 20000Hz. The larger Speaker M steps up performance with separate woofer and tweeter drivers that reach 35W RMS output across a wider 60 to 20000Hz spectrum. Both units include an ultra bass setting, adaptive sound tuning, and user adjustable equalization profiles.
Customization is central to the design of both speakers. A release switch on the rear panel unlocks the front plate and volume knob, allowing users to swap in custom 3D printed parts. Battery life reaches 18 hours per charge, with wired charging handled through a USB C port. Wireless connectivity relies on Bluetooth 6.0 with Auracast broadcast support and fast device pairing. Both models also carry an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust intrusion.
The compact Speaker S is priced at $59 in the United States, 49 British pounds, and 59 euros. The larger Speaker M retails at $109 in the United States, 99 British pounds, and 99 euros.
