Colorful has listed the iGame X870E ULTRA S V14 on its official website, marking its 4th motherboard built on the AMD X870E chipset. The ATX board features a 16+2+1 phase power design and support for DDR5 memory speeds exceeding 8400 MT/s. The company also demonstrated system stability using a 192GB memory configuration running at 6600 MT/s with CL28 timings.
The board is built on an 8 layer low loss PCB. Power delivery relies on a 16+2+1 phase configuration using 80A DrMOS stages, FCC ferrite inductors, and 10K black gold capacitors. CPU power is routed through 2 EPS 8 pin power connectors. An onboard independent clock generator manages system timing, while an integrated metal backplate provides physical board stiffness. For troubleshooting, the PCB includes an 80 segment digital debug display alongside EZ Debug diagnostic LEDs.
Colorful equips the motherboard with 2 PCIe slots. The primary PCIe x16 connection supports bifurcation, allowing the board to offer 5 separate M.2 SSD slots for high speed solid state storage. Legacy storage is handled by 4 SATA III ports. The layout includes quick release mechanisms for M.2 drives and expansion cards to speed up installation. The platform also includes an X3D AI high frame mode designed for gaming workloads.
Network connectivity features a Realtek RTL8126 CG 5GbE wired network controller and a MediaTek MT7925 Wi Fi 7 wireless card. External connectivity includes 2 USB C 40Gbps ports for high bandwidth data transfers. Official testing demonstrated support for 4 memory modules of 48GB capacity running simultaneously, confirming stable operation across all 4 slots under heavy memory overclocks.
