FromSoftware Delays The Duskbloods to 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2

FromSoftware has delayed its upcoming action title The Duskbloods, moving the release window from 2026 into 2027. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the multiplayer project is currently in development as an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2. The studio cited necessary combat balancing and technical adjustments following a recent closed network test as the reason for the postponement.

FromSoftware confirmed the delay after reviewing data from recent closed multiplayer trials. Players praised the core combat mechanics and the tactical variety available during encounters. However, server failures disrupted early sessions, and participants reported recurring frame rate drops during heavy action. The development team is now adjusting rulesets and weapon balancing while engineers work to resolve netcode instability.

The Duskbloods features matches supporting up to 8 players who must fight each other and hostile creatures across the map. The game takes place in a dark world filled with gothic architecture and Victorian style machinery, sharing a visual tone with Bloodborne. While FromSoftware stated that the game is in the final stages of production, the studio has not committed to a specific 2027 date while optimization continues.
