Garmin Launches Six MARQ Gen 3 Luxury Smartwatches with Satellite Messaging

Garmin has launched the MARQ Gen 3 series, introducing 6 luxury smartwatches built with titanium cases and 128GB of internal storage. The lineup adds satellite messaging through Garmin inReach alongside ECG tracking and a 3000 nit AMOLED screen. The watches hit retail shelves in December with prices ranging between $2500 and $3100.

Garmin divides the lineup into 6 editions: Athlete, Adventurer, Aviator, Commander, Diver, and Golfer. Each variant features distinct bezel styling and custom strap materials tailored to specific outdoor activities. The Golfer edition includes dedicated software for tracking rounds, while the other editions carry targeted tracking profiles for their respective sports.

All 6 watches share the same core chassis dimensions. The 47 mm body measures 15 mm thick and withstands water pressure down to 10 ATM. Sapphire glass protects a 1.4 inch AMOLED display capable of 3000 nits of peak brightness. The outer bezel combines titanium with ceramic elements to resist scratches during intense outdoor use.

Garmin equips each watch with 128GB of internal storage for local music playback, navigation maps, and third party applications. Battery life reaches 18 days in standard smartwatch mode and drops to 7 days when using the Always on Display setting. For communication, the watches feature LTE connectivity and Garmin inReach satellite messaging to send signals outside cellular coverage. Standard utility features include multi band GPS, an LED flashlight, an ECG sensor for heart rhythm checks, and NFC for contactless transactions.
