Google has updated its Gemini AI assistant with Immersive Explorations, a library of visual learning modules designed for interactive study. The software lets users click through graphic models to examine complex topics like jet engines, geology, and atomic structures. The feature is live globally through the Gemini Student Hub in 6 languages.
Google launched the library with 20 distinct subject collections covering space, medicine, oceanography, and geology. Users navigate each topic by tapping specific elements within visual diagrams to reveal detailed breakdowns. The software supports zooming from macro objects down to individual molecules and atoms. Practical examples include dissecting an aircraft engine, inspecting lightning physics, or tracing historic Silk Road trading routes.
Users access these materials inside the dedicated Student Hub section of the Gemini app. Google plans to integrate the modules directly into standard chat conversations in an upcoming software patch. Future updates will also add voice narration to explain visual elements as users progress through each layer of an illustration.
The initial release supports 6 languages, covering English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and Simplified Chinese. Google plans to expand regional language options over time.
