HP has introduced the Zhan 99 Ryzen Edition, a 16 inch mobile workstation engineered for heavy commercial computing and professional design workflows. The system tops out with an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 graphics based on the Blackwell architecture. Initial retail pricing in China starts at 14599 yuan (roughly $2030 USD), with preorders now open through regional retailers.
HP equips the Zhan 99 with Zen 5 silicon, offering configurations up to the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D with 16 cores, 32 threads, a maximum boost clock of 5.4 GHz, and 144MB of combined L2 and L3 cache. Buyers can also choose models equipped with the Ryzen 9 9955HX or Ryzen 9 8945HX. Graphic workloads are handled by either the NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 or the flagship RTX PRO 2000. The PRO 2000 model utilizes the Blackwell architecture, packing 3328 CUDA cores and 8GB of fast DDR7 video memory for AI acceleration and 3D rendering.
The chassis supports a total system power dissipation of 200W, with up to 85W directed to the processor and 115W routed to the graphics card. Cooling is managed by 2 internal fans and 4 exhaust channels, with software controls for Extreme, High Performance, and Balanced operational modes. Up front, the workstation houses a 16 inch panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2.5K resolution. The screen outputs 500 nits of brightness, runs at a 240 Hz refresh rate, and covers 100% of the sRGB color space.
Internal memory comes standard at 32GB of DDR5, with dual channel expansion slots supporting up to 64GB. Storage is handled by a 1TB PCIe M.2 solid state drive. Power relies on an 83Whr internal battery paired with a 280W adapter that charges the battery to 50% in 30 minutes. According to reporting by IT Home, the laptop holds official ISV certifications for professional applications from Adobe, Autodesk, Ansys, Siemens, and Dassault. It also passed 11 military standard durability tests covering drop shock, high humidity, vibration, and extreme temperature ranges.
Physical ports include USB Type A, USB Type C, HDMI 2.1, an RJ45 ethernet jack, and a 3.5mm headphone combo jack. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 hardware. The base tier with a Ryzen 9 9955HX, RTX PRO 500, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD costs 14599 yuan ($2030 USD). The Ryzen 9 8945HX model with the same PRO 500 GPU costs 14999 yuan ($2085 USD). Upgrading to the RTX PRO 2000 costs 16999 yuan ($2364 USD) with the Ryzen 9 9955HX, or 17499 yuan ($2433 USD) with the Ryzen 9 8945HX. The top specification featuring the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX PRO 2000 retails for 21999 yuan ($3059 USD).
