Nanya Technology Reports Record Revenue and 85.7% Gross Margin

Nanya Technology posted third quarter revenue of 133.649 billion New Taiwan dollars (approx. US$4.18 billion), marking a 611.7% surge compared to the previous year. The memory maker saw DRAM average selling prices climb more than 60% even as shipment volumes saw a mild reduction. The gains pushed corporate gross margins to 85.7% as artificial intelligence hardware contracts expanded.

Revenue rose 61.9% quarter over quarter, equivalent to roughly 28.053 billion Chinese yuan (approx. US$4.19 billion). Operating margins reached 80.0%, representing an increase of 6.3 percentage points. Net profit margins closed at 65.6%, up 4.8 percentage points. Rising average selling prices for DRAM served as the primary catalyst, overcoming a slight dip in total shipped bit volume.

Hardware for artificial intelligence infrastructure now accounts for over 20% of total revenue at Nanya Technology. Management confirmed that future manufacturing expansions will focus on long term customer contracts dedicated to AI projects. Demand from machine learning data centers continues to absorb high value memory output.

Equipment installation for the new wafer fab begins in the first quarter of 2027. Monthly capacity targets stand at 30000 wafers by the end of 2028, expanding to 50000 wafers by the end of 2030. A separate backend packaging facility will implement 3DIC technologies including TSV and wafer stacking during 2028. The company plans to begin sampling its generation 3 10nm class node in the first quarter of 2027, with subsequent manufacturing nodes advancing on schedule.
