OnePlus has launched the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro, introducing built in active cooling fans and massive 9000 mAh batteries to its performance lineup. The series features 185 Hz displays alongside Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 silicon and 3 dedicated gaming co processors. Both models are on sale in China starting at 4399 yuan, while international availability remains unannounced.
OnePlus splits the platform across 2 chips. The standard Ace 7 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V, while the Ace 7 Pro steps up to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Thermal management relies on an internal Ice River cooling system using 2 independent air channels. 1 channel cools the processor directly while the second vents toward the rear panel to keep exterior glass cool. Internal radiator fins and a large vapor chamber work with an automatic fan to drop peak chip temperatures by up to 10 degrees. During test sessions running Peacekeeper Elite and Delta Force at 185 fps, the hardware held an average frame rate of 184.9 fps while temperatures stayed at or below 40.2 degrees.
3 custom auxiliary chips handle specialized hardware tasks. The T3 chip cuts swipe latency by 80% and tap latency by 43% while driving an 800 Hz gyroscope polling rate. The G3 chip handles network routing, and the P4 processor stabilizes panel refresh rates. Both phones feature a 6.78 inch 1.5K LTPO panel built with BOE. The screen operates at 165 Hz in standard applications and pushes to 185 Hz in supported gaming titles. Eye care comes via hardware blue light filtering and 3840 Hz PWM dimming.
Imaging splits the 2 tiers. Both devices include a 200 MP primary camera and a 16 MP front camera, but the Ace 7 Pro adds a 50 MP periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The Pro variant also records 4K video at 120 fps, 8K video at 30 fps, and supports Log color profiles. A 9000 mAh battery powers both phones using 100W fast wired charging. Gamers can engage a bypass charging mode that routes electrical current directly to internal components, keeping heat away from the battery cell during long play sessions.
Hardware protection is rated at IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K across metal frames with ultrasonic fingerprint scanners. The Ace 7 uses a sandblasted 2 tone gradient glass back, while the Ace 7 Pro uses textured matte glass. In China, the OnePlus Ace 7 sells between 4399 and 5699 yuan ($660 to $855). The OnePlus Ace 7 Pro costs between 4799 and 7299 yuan ($720 to $1095).
