OnePlus has launched the Magnetic Ice Card Mini, a compact smartphone cooler smaller than a bank card. The accessory pairs a thermoelectric cooling chip with an internal fan to reduce hardware temperatures during mobile gaming. It is available in China for 200 yuan (around $30) with international launch details still unannounced.
The cooler measures 70 by 53.4 millimeters and weighs roughly 50 grams, making it 30% smaller and 18 grams lighter than the previous generation. Thickness measures 9.7 millimeters across the main body and 12.3 millimeters at the air intake vent. OnePlus builds the exterior using polycarbonate and aluminum alloy to assist with heat dissipation.
The hardware offers 2 cooling modes managed by a color indicator light. Quiet mode produces 25 dB of sound under a green light, while maximum performance mode reaches 35 dB under a blue light, with a flashing red light signaling operational errors. A magnetic ring attaches to phones with 10 N of force. For Android phones without built in magnets, the retail box includes an adhesive metal plate.
The unit lacks an internal battery and relies entirely on external USB Type C power drawing up to 5V at 0.7A. Users can draw power directly from the smartphone, a wall adapter, or an external battery pack, with a 10000 mAh battery providing up to 8 hours of continuous operation on maximum output. On OnePlus and OPPO phones, the hardware syncs with ColorOS X high performance mode to speed up thermal reduction. OnePlus ships the accessory in Silver Wing Grey with a power cable, lanyard, magnetic sticker, and installation film for 200 yuan.
