realme has initiated the global release schedule for its stable ColorOS 17 operating system update. The initial rollout prioritizes the flagship GT 8 Pro models before expanding across broader numerical and budget tiers through early 2027. Regional firmware for EAEU territories is scheduled to follow global builds with an estimated delay of 2 months.
The rollout begins with the GT 8 Pro and GT 8 Pro Dream Edition. Following these units, realme transitions the GT 7 Pro alongside the 16 Pro+ 5G and 16 Pro 5G to the new software. In Russia and EAEU markets, eligibility covers all GT and numbered smartphones released from 2025 onward, alongside the 2024 GT 6 and GT 6T, as well as the Note 70 and Note 80.
The deployment expands across 9 additional models in November, including the GT 7, GT 7 Dream Edition, GT 7T, 16 5G, 16 Lite 5G, 15 Pro 5G, 15 5G, 15x 5G, and 15T 5G. December brings ColorOS 17 to the GT 6, GT 6T, 16T 5G, 16x 5G, 14 Pro+ 5G, 14 Pro 5G, 14 5G, 14T 5G, and 14x 5G.
realme concludes the update cycle in the first quarter of 2027 for entry level and budget hardware. Devices scheduled for this final phase include the P4 Lite, P3 Lite, Note 80, Note 80s, Note 70, Note 70s, and Note 70T.
