Samsung has launched the W27 foldable in China, expanding its ultra luxury Heart of the World collection. The handset combines a slim folding chassis with TianTong satellite connectivity for calls and text outside standard cellular range. Samsung has yet to reveal official retail pricing for the device.
The exterior features a 6.5 inch cover screen, while the interior unfolds to an 8 inch flexible panel with an anti reflective treatment. Both displays support adaptive refresh rates reaching 120 Hz and push peak brightness levels up to 3000 nits. When open, the body measures just 4.1 millimeters thick, folding down to 8.9 millimeters with an overall weight of 215 grams. Buyers can choose between blue and red finishes, and the retail packaging includes a Kevlar protective case, a charging cable, and a 45W power brick.
Samsung equips the W27 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor alongside 16GB of RAM and storage choices of 512GB or 1TB. A 5000 mAh battery provides up to 27 hours of continuous video playback. The device runs One UI 9 out of the box, integrating Galaxy AI features for real time voice translation, screen search, and photo editing via text commands. Hardware protection relies on Knox Vault and KEEP security layers to isolate sensitive data.
The imaging setup brings 3 rear cameras led by a 200 MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and 2x optical quality zoom. A 50 MP ultrawide lens handles wide shots, while a 10 MP telephoto unit delivers 3x optical magnification. The camera system supports 8K video recording alongside dedicated horizon leveling and video stabilization tools.
