Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have announced the Spec IV Part 1 update for Gran Turismo 7 alongside a 30th anniversary limited edition DualSense wireless controller. The free patch adds the Sportsland Sugo circuit and 6 new vehicles, headlined by the electric Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept. The commemorative controller will retail globally at $84.99.
The limited edition DualSense controller features motorsport graphics, racing stripes, and a carbon fiber texture across the front panel. Polyphony Digital creator Kazunori Yamauchi released an official statement regarding the release:
Thirty years ago, Gran Turismo began with a vision to share the beauty and joy of cars. This commemorative controller celebrates the journey we took together, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who continues to inspire us.
Sony confirmed retail pricing at $84.99, 84.99 euros, 74.99 British pounds, and 12480 Japanese yen.
The Spec IV Part 1 update downloads free for all PlayStation 5 players. The update introduces Sportsland Sugo, a premier motorsport venue located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Polyphony Digital also added 6 new World Circuit racing events, an updated Experience mode, extra Scapes photography locations, and an expanded Car Viewer feature.
The vehicle expansion leads with the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, a fully electric supercar featuring a teardrop cabin, integrated aerodynamic channels, and an illuminated ring rear light serving as an air vent.
The remaining 5 additions span classic racers and production vehicles. Players receive the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta designed by Pininfarina, alongside the 1987 Honda Civic Si Group A based on the Motul Civic that secured championship status in the All Japan Touring Car Championship. The lineup also introduces the 2026 Mazda RX Vision GT3 Evo powered by a four rotor engine concept, the 2023 Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line passenger van, and the 1986 Citroen 2CV 6 Charleston representing a historic 42 year production span.
