Xbox 360 Peer Pressure Softmod Matches RGH Hardware Exploit

Software developer Grimdoomer has released Peer Pressure, a permanent softmod for the Xbox 360 that enables unsigned code execution without physical hardware modifications. The exploit matches the functionality of historic soldering techniques like the Reset Glitch Hack while persisting across system restarts. The files are available as a free download on GitHub for supported console revisions.

Peer Pressure alters the system software to bypass security checks completely. The exploit allows users to launch custom homebrew applications, emulators, media playback software, and Linux distributions using the XeLL bootloader. This grants developers full access to console resources without requiring physical disassembly or motherboard soldering. Community interest peaked immediately following release, with coverage from YouTube channel Modern Vintage Gamer crossing 500,000 views within 24 hours.

Hardware support depends strictly on the motherboard revision inside the console. Peer Pressure functions on Xenon, Zephyr, Falcon, Jasper, and Trinity revisions. It does not work on Corona or Winchester revisions because Microsoft fixed the underlying vulnerability at the silicon level on those specific boards. The exploit remains free and open source on GitHub for owners of compatible hardware.
