New Info on Atomic Heart 2 More RPG Play and a Big World
After they told us about Atomic Heart 2 at Summer Game Fest 2025, Mundfish boss and game man, Robert Bagratuni, has let out new stuff about the next game. In a talk, he spoke of a bigger push on role-play parts and a wide, more active world build.
More Role-Play Parts
Bagratuni said that Atomic Heart 2 will have more RPG parts and mix them right into the main game play. He made clear this will be done in "the Mundfish way," which won't be too hard. The aim is to let players have more say and shape how they play. Main RPG parts will have:
- Better ways to set up your gear.
- More skills to learn and ways to grow.
- Choices you make that change how events or tasks play out.
He also said that there are things to find beyond the main tasks, but the game won't turn into a "list-style open-world game." Bagratuni even talked about having mates, noting, "you won’t be all by yourself."
A Bigger and More Active World
The world in Atomic Heart 2 will be more open than in the first game. Bagratuni told it as "bigger, linked spaces that let you roam more." This idea is to boost search and play again value. Things in this new world will have:
- More ways to go about and come back to spots.
- Use of cars and new ways to move.
- More up and down in how places are set up.
- Active bits like time and weather, which will touch both the feel and how you play.
He made it clear that even with the big size, the play will keep you in and stay true to the game's tale and world feel.
Plans and When it Comes Out
Bagratuni shared that Atomic Heart 2 is still "some years out" from coming out. He noted that a big cause for the long time to build is their wish to make the next game more sharp and suck you in more than the last one.
