AMD Threadripper PRO 9995WX Tops PassMark Multi-Thread Test

AMD's Threadripper PRO 9995WX chip got the highest place in PassMark's tests for multi-thread work. This workstation chip did way better than an AMD EPYC series server chip, but it did not do as well on tests that use one thread.

Multi-Thread High Score

The Threadripper PRO 9995WX got 174,825 points in PassMark's multi-thread test. This score beat the last top score, held by the AMD EPYC 9755 server chip, which got 166,328 points. To show how good the 9995WX is in its own line, the next one, the PRO 9985WX, is seventh with 156,305 points.

Looking at Single-Thread Work

While it's great at multi-core tasks, the chip's single-thread work paints a different picture. It sits in 45th place with 4565 points. Yet, this score is still a good 21% better than the last top model, the 7995WX, showing clear improvements.

  • Cores: 96
  • Max Boost Speed: Up to 5.4 GHz
  • L3 Cache: 384 MB
  • TDP (Heat limit): 350 W

Price
